Our story

Nonna's is a local family-owned and run Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria. Chef Frank (Owner) is from Bari, Italy, and started his culinary career when he was just 10 years old, working in a bakery in Bari. At 16, he moved to Paris, France, where he worked as an apprentice to a vast array of chefs, gaining knowledge and experience. Nonna's Italian Restaurant & Pizza is a local favorite for dine-in or take-out. Chef Frank is also a glorious baker and makes most of the desserts you see in-house from scratch. Chef Frank also loves to cater events from weddings, baby showers, graduation parties, etc. and will work with you to prepare a customized menu.

Since then Chef Francesco has owned and operated over 10 successful restaurants throughout Florida and now sharing his talent in North Carolina. Nonna's is a completely scratch kitchen. All food is made fresh and to order. All our sauces are made fresh daily. Especially our old family recipe marinara.
